Born 2000, Daniel Bailey is a 24 year old artist born in Massachusetts. His paintings are inspired by his exploration of the American west, northeast, and northern Canada
“I would consider myself a romantic realist. I like to keep a realistic look and feel while also slightly pushing the scene beyond realism. Exaggerating atmosphere and color and painting with expressive brushstrokes and a palette knife helps me paint scenes that have a dreamy, optimistic, and nostalgic feel. I enjoy painting a wide variety of subjects, from mountains to oceans and everything in between. While I work, I keep in mind memories of exploring the forest as a child, when the world buzzed with magic and wonder. If I’m lucky, some of that magic will be captured in my paintings.” — Daniel Bailey
